God’s Line is Never Busy

By grandparenting 13 years agoNo Comments

Have you every thought about how difficult it is for us when we try to call our Doctor or a business. We finally locate the telephone number, push the right buttons for their number, we get a recording listing a number for all the departments, then we select the department and very often, we are placed on hold and listen to some music, which does not seem very lovely by this point. Sometimes, when we make a call, our call does not fit the listed department we need or we are told how many minutes before someone is available to take our call. It is often hard to get a real person on the line or our call goes to voice mail and we wait for hours for them to return our call.

I was recently thinking about how fortunate we are when we call upon the Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the veil in the temple was torn from the top to the bottom so those who believe in Him have been given access to the Holiest of Holy in the temple. As a result, we have the privilege to go boldly to Jesus because He is sitting at the Father’s right hand waiting for us to bring our thanks and petitions. We do not have to wait in the order the call was received, His line is never busy He is standing by waiting for us to call on Him twenty-four hours a day.

God has given grandparents the privilege to be prayer warriors, cheerleaders, and encouragers for their grandchildren. Don’t worry about them; take your desires and petitions for your grandchildren to the throne, boldly laying them at the feet of Jesus with confidence. Ask Jesus how He would like you to be your grandchildren’s cheerleader and encourager and how you can pray for them.

Boldly bring your requests to Jesus for our children and grandchildren.
Wait patiently as you wait upon Him to answer your requests.
