Make Everyday a Day of Prayer for your Grandchildren

By grandparenting 11 years ago7 Comments

_MG_5006A LIL I want to personally thank you for your awesome response and support for the Grandparents Day of Prayer. Your response to this blog and our Grandparents Day of Prayer Facebook page has reached thousands, which is fantastic. Your comments, “likes” on the Facebook page posts and sharing with your friends have been remarkable. I believe God is going to do amazing things in the lives of our dear grandchildren because grandparents joined in prayer for them on National Grandparents’ Day making it a special day of prayer.

My desire is that the future blog posts will encourage and support you as you pray and intentionally grandparent your grandchildren. I would appreciate it if you will continue to share the blog posts with your friends in the future. Would you comment on this post or send me a Facebook message to let me know how you prayed for your grandchildren on September 8, Grandparents’ Day of Prayer in your church or with your friends?

May God grant you favor as you make everyday a day of prayer for your grandchildren.

Dear Lillian: Thanks to your efforts, in particular, with what you do to make all us old codgers aware of being a better grandparent, We have had better focus of the next generation that will come behind us.

There is a vital need for your efforts and emphasis on what you do to create this awareness and focus in our lives! Thank you for all you do to partner with us grandparents.

Keep up the good work! Keep up the fight! Love your efforts!
    Blessings, Lee

I love praying scripture over our grandchildren. We have three adult grands and four younger ones plus a new great-grand. One of my Scriptures that I pray is Daniel 1:4. I try to pray daily for our gchildren. But thought it a good idea to pray with others in this special day.

We put a flyer in the bulletin this past Sunday to highlight Grandparents’ Day of Prayer. It had several suggested prayer points to pray for grandchildren. It also then highlighted your book (picture of it on the insert) and gave info of the class that I will lead beginning the end of Sept. for 4 weeks to study the book together and to pray for one another. I personally then spent time Sunday afternoon praying specifically for each of my 11 grandchildren. Also got to talk to my out of state oldest granddaughter (16) who gave me several requests to pray for! I’m praying there will be a good response to the class. I, too, love praying Scripture for my grandchildren. Thank you and may the Lord richly bless you!

Thank you for your blog. I always feel a great peace in reading as a prayer for our Grandchildren, Colossians 1:9-14.
