What are you doing with your old photos?

By grandparenting 7 years agoNo Comments

Why not dig into the boxes and envelopes that hold your treasured, forgotten photos of your children and grandchildren and send them to them on their birthday or special occasions. Write a note of the approximate time and place of the picture and your memory of the event. Let them know how proud you are of them at this time in their lives. It is also an excellent time to communicate with them that you are praying for them and God has great plans for them as they grow up to be godly men and women.

“No eye hath seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived

what God has prepared for those who love him” I Corinthians 2:9 NIV).

Here is an example: When my grandson celebrated his 25th birthday. In his birthday greeting card, I sent him a picture of him on his 14th birthday, included a Bible verse, and wrote that we loved him and prayed for him. I also wrote a memory of how excited he was with his gifts, cake, etc. It brought a smile to his face; we listened to his laughter and made good use of your treasured, forgotten photo.

You might also want to give old photos for unique family occasion gifts, Christmas, or a wedding anniversary to family members or friends.

Make use of those old photos and have fun with them. Brighten someone’s day.
