Pray the Prayer of Jabez for your Grandchildren

In the book The Prayer of Jabez, Bruce Wilkinson gives us an excellent example of a prayer to pray for our grandchildren from I Chronicles 4:9-10

“Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory!

Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!”

I like to personalize this scripture by paraphrasing it for each grandchild. I would encourage you to do the same.

“Lord, bless _____ and expand his/her territory.

Give _________ a territory or an area to prepare him/her self to serve you.

Give _________a place of influence and responsibility with which to honor you.

Please be with ___________ in all he/she does, and keep him/her from all trouble and pain.

Help ________ to recognize the deception of the world.

Protect him/her from the evil one. In Jesus name, Amen.

Trust God to answer your prayers for your grandchildren, it may not be right away but invest those prayers in their spiritual trust fund to be there when needed. The same God will do the same for you in His timing according to His will.
