A Prayer Suggestion using God’s Word

By grandparenting 4 years ago2 Comments

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)

Here’s a Suggestion to pray the acrostic letters of Coronavirus.

Dear Father, I pray __________ will

C  Cast all you’re anxiety and disappointments on God. I Peter 5:7

O  Obey your parents/ Ephesians 6:1

R  Renew your mind with God’s Word. Romans 12:2

O  Obey everything I have commanded you, Matthew 28:20

N  Not grow weary in well-doing. II Thessalonica 3:13

A   Acknowledge God to direct your path. Proverb 3:6

V  Value your personal time alone with God. Mark 1:35

I   Invite Christ into your life. John 1:12

R  Rejoice in the Lord always. Philippians 4:4

U  Understand God’s will for you. Ephesians 5:17

S  Seek God first the kingdom of God in all things. Matthew 6:33

I have developed “Thirty-one Scriptures to Pray for Grandchildren” that many grandparents have found helpful to pray Scripture for their grandchildren. Just by joining the mailing list on the right side of this page, you will receive the blogs about grandparenting and prayer suggestions. I will email you a free downloadable copy of “Thirty-one Scriptures to Pray for your Grandchildren” you can print.

We traditionally have a gathering of Grandmothers on National Day of prayer. Since we doubt that is possible now, I think this link will go out to them all.

    Thank you. Eileen
