What are you doing with your old photos?

Happy Thanksgiving

Why not dig into the boxes and envelopes that hold your treasured, forgotten photos of your children and grandchildren and send them to them on their birthday or special occasions. Write a note of the approximate time and place the picture was taken and your memory of the event. Let them know how proud you are of them at this time in their lives. It is also an excellent time to communicate with them that you are praying for them, and God has great plans for them as they grow up to be godly men and women.

“No eye hath seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” I Corinthians 2:9 NIV).

Here is an example: My grandson is going to celebrate his 26th birthday. Along with his birthday card, I sent him a picture of his 14th birthday and wrote about my memory of how excited he was with his gifts, cake, etc. It will bring a smile to his face; you can listen to his laughter and make good use of your treasured, forgotten photos.

You can place an old picture on their gift tag at Christmas instead of their name or put a card at your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. You might also give old photos for special family occasions, Christmas, or a wedding anniversary to family members or friends.

Please make use of those old photos and have fun with them. Brighten someone’s day.
